There are many different types of loss. Each insurance policy is unique and provides for many areas of recovery, depending on the type of loss and coverage. Public Adjusters, like your insurance company, are licensed by your state. My firm is licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Florida. We understand your policy and the applicable State laws and regulations.
We document your loss, protect your rights, manage your claim, and maximize your return. Filing a claim on your own is like filing a lawsuit without a lawyer.
We work for you and only you (not the insurance company). Our job is to help you get your life, home and/or business back to normal.
Type of Loss
There are many types of loss that would require you to file an insurance claim. These include:
- Fire
- Smoke
- Water
- Wind
- Flood
- Vandalism
What to Do After a Loss
If you’re reading this article then you have likely suffered a fire, flood, or some other loss that has interrupted your life. It’s normal if you don’t know what to do next. Many losses are sudden and devastating. Your home or business may be in complete disarray. And while it may seem like the end of the world, it’s not. Your insurance policy and company are there to see you through this difficult time. And I, your public adjuster, will ensure that they do.
Your first step should be to call me. I am available 24/7 at (215) 292-5903. I will meet with you, determine the extent of your loss, notify your insurance company, and immediately begin the process of managing your claim and returning your life to normal.
There are many things that I can do for you immediately. These include:
- Notify Your Insurance Company
- Arrange Temporary or Long Term Housing
- Minimize your Loss (by arranging for a restoration company to vent smoke, remove excess water, and board up windows, doors and roofs that were damaged.)
- Arrange for emergency funds from your insurance carrier
- Document your Loss
- Meet with Insurance Company Representatives, Adjusters and/or other Experts (Fire Marshals, Engineers, Contractors or others who may be needed to determine the cause of your loss and/or extent)
- Give you Peace of Mind
What Does It Cost?
Public Adjusters are paid a percentage of your recovery. The amount is negotiable and is clearly defined in a contract signed by you and I. I don’t get paid until you get paid. My job is to protect your rights under the provisions of your insurance policy and to ensure that you maximize your return on your loss. Obviously, the more that I recover for you; the more that I make. So I am motivated to ensure that you get the greatest possible return.
